Heating oil extra light is an extremely easily-flowing and ash-free fuel, with a very high energy yield in relation to volume. The high heat value - one litre of heating oil extra-light is equivalent to 10.08 kilowatt hours - and a consumer price that has been low for years, make this fuel a very economic form of heating energy.
Heating oil extra light is certified in ÖNORM C 1109. Heating oil extra-light, which is coloured red in accordance with the gasoil taxation law, has a heating value of 11.9 kWh/kg. Converted into litres, the heating value is around 10 kWh/litre.
